How long does Canvas setup take?
Approximately 15 minutes for a Canvas administrator. We provide a step-by-step guide and are available by email during setup at learn@realitydb.dev.
Do students need separate accounts?
No. Students launch RealityDB Academy directly from their Canvas assignment link. No separate login or password needed.
What data does RealityDB store?
Only assignment scores, chapter completion status, and time on task. We store Canvas user IDs — never names, emails, or student records — without explicit institutional consent. FERPA compliant by design.
What SQL environment do students use?
Students practice against realistic synthetic databases — banking, healthcare, insurance, fintech — with 100% referential integrity and government-calibrated distributions. Not toy data. The same data structures they will face on the job.
Can professors choose which chapters to assign?
Yes. Any single chapter or the full 30-chapter curriculum can be assigned as a Canvas external tool assignment. Grades sync per assignment.
